what do you do to save money on your electric bill?

i keep lights etc off most of the time and even at night i usually dont turn them on unless i am cooking. there is enough light from street lights outside shining in to at least let me see for the most part where i am walking around in here. i wash clothes in cold water only and do full loads. i unplug most appliances etc when im not using them except for the stove, washer and dryer because the plugs are in an inconvenient place. in the cold weather i only turn my furnace on about an hour or 2 at night before i go to bed and sometimes an hour or so in the morning but with some exceptions and many days i dont turn it on at all in the winter (and i live in the buffalo area), but i do use a portable little heater for this room where i spend most of my time. i live alone so its easier to do these things.

It can be if one knows how to use it wisely. Almost any eye can see "fill or flash - light" if they know what their looking for. . If you have a killer sunset (like we do here in AZ) and you have your models pose with it behind them, there is no way you will get them unless another light source is used while the camera's settings are set for the sunset. Same with street lights, Vegas, New York and other land marks lit at night. A lil extra piece of the sun is needed in the way of a flash or such. . It is all so totally accepted, IF the exposures are done right and the photo is as you (or your clients) wanted. A Motorcycle or classy car going down the road at or near sunset. Same thing. You will NEVER stop the motion AND get the colors of the moment at the same time with out using a flash in conjunction with settings to get the back ground loght in and a f/stop to handle the flash (the camera's shutter speed is irrelevant here for the flash) if you understand and have done this kind of twilight shooting, mixing natural and flash lighting before. . So, Is using flash/ studio lights outdoors instead of natural light "more professional?"? . Yes. .!.

I live in Indianapolis and we are starting to put in bike paths on the side of the roads but unless theres street lights theres no special lights for night time riding. allso most drivers are ***** and think the bike paths are for them to drive on and just ignore them. its basicaly like this every where in america hardly anybody ride bikes now and 99. 9% of drivers dont care if they nearly hit people. so expect that
